The pre-game “March to the Match” is one of the oldest and best-known traditions for FC Cincinnati supporters. While we may have different backgrounds or belong to different groups, we march to the stadium united as one. The March is born as SG members depart home bars prior to first kickoff and merge together in celebration as we travel to Washington Park for the Corteo. The March then continues on to TQL Stadium, where it culminates right before we enter for the match. All are welcome to join the March and be a part of a Cincinnati tradition!
Important March Details (for first-time and long-time marchers alike):
The Knights of The Bailey lead the March. For everyone’s safety, please stay behind the banner.
Absolutely no alcohol is permitted on the March. It is illegal and gives a bad impression; No exceptions!
If directed, stay on sidewalks and keep pace with the March.
Do not block the paths of vehicle traffic or the streetcar.
Smoke, flares, or other incendiary devices may be deployed by authorized individuals at various locations throughout the March. No outside smoke, flares or other incendiaries are allowed. This is done in conjunction with the Cincinnati Fire Department. While deployment is done as safely as possible, these devices are inherently dangerous. For your own safety, please maintain a distance of 6-10 feet from these devices during deployment.
Follow all directions of the capos & SG leaders.
Respect our neighbors! Over-the-Rhine and the West End are residential neighborhoods; our March passes places that many people call “home”. We are their guests on matchday. Please treat our March route as if it passes through your own neighborhood. This means:
No littering
Respect pedestrians not participating in the March
Respect personal property
MOST IMPORTANTLY: Have fun, sing loud, and show your excitement for FC Cincinnati!
